Virus scanners

The most recent installers for the Kaspersky and F-Secure virus scanners are available for download here. The archives provide a special version of the scanners tailored to DEFENDO.

The installer is required only once, when installing the scanner the very first time. Subsequent updates of the Kaspersky and F-Secure scanners will be part of the DEFENDO updates. The McAfee scanner engine however must be updated manually.

First you have to download the required archive. Then turn to the administration interface of your DEFENDO. Change into the menu "Expert -> Virusscanner. You can upload the archive on the tab titled "Install / update / uninstall". Please refer to the DEFENDO online manual of this tab for further instructions.

Don't forget to update the signatures of the scanner after installation. It is highly recommended to enable the automatic signature update, too.
